I was born in Northern Ireland, a child of the Troubles but hidden away in the middle of the countryside able to watch Belfast burning from the top of our coal bunker. It was later as a doctor working in Belfast and in Derry that I experienced the cold, brutal, blood-stained violence of terrorism. Music, writing, the commitments in my life and love arose from those combined experiences.

I am a paediatric neurologist. I do medico legal work.

I present nationally and internationally on how the brain learns.

Central to my life is my desire to create through music, writing, photography and with the simple acts that create a life.

Combining all this together is The Show – 'The Little Show of Big Stuff about the Brain' [click here to watch the show reel]

In it I have combined music with my 35-year knowledge of studying the brain of ordinary people – how the brainworks and, most importantly, what is in your brain that is preventing you reaching your full potentials. The end result is an evening of entertainment that has been described as

"part concert, part brain masterclass, part emotional awakening, this events are a unique invitation to change—not just what you think, but how you feel". www.goodnewspost.co.uk

To support me in this The Promise Band (thepromiseband.net) is there for every minute of the journey.

Tour dates to be announced here in the very near future.
